Rio
de Janeiro Jazz Trio is the name given to this Trio that came together
in Rio. Paulo Russo is on acoustic bass, Andrew Scott Potter on
drums and Dario Galante on piano. These great musicians, are from
three continents: South America (Paulo Russo is Brazilian). North-America
(Andy Potter is American), and Europe (Dario Galante is Italian).
Each of them contributes a strong form of improvising, coming up
with new melodies, harmonies and rhythms.
In this CD by Mix House "Bop Till You Drop", we are able
to listen the mixing of jazz with Brazilian rhythms - in other words,
the magic Brazilian instrumental music played with great sophistication
and excellent musical taste.
