Rio
de Janeiro Jazz Trio is the name given to the group made by pianist
Dário Galante, drummer Andrew Scott Potter and bass player
Paulo Russo, as a way to legalize the association of three great
instrumental musicians from three continents - Europe, North and
South America.
This
association not only contributed to the connection of melodies,
harmony and rhythms, with a clear and strong improvising expression,
giving then the idea for the CD title "Marakablu", a mixture
of Jazz and Maracatu, but also served to show the strength of Samba
and Jazz as well as the magic of good taste and high quality instrumental
music.
