The
nicest one youd expect by Brazilian trombonist Raul de Souza,
and an album that has a tight jazzy sound.Winner of several awards,
both in Brazil and abroad, Raul de Souza is internationally acclaimed
by critics as one of the worlds greatest trombonists. Conrad
Herwig handled many of the arrangements, and the set includes versions
of Roberto Menescals Rio, Johnny Alfs Nós
(We), and Oscar Castro Neves Chora tua Tristeza (Weep
your Sadness).
Raul de Souza recorded and shared the stage with top jazz
musicians, accompanied the best singers, was the soloist of the
best combos and orchestras. These are not remote stories. At the
top of his form, has made Rio one of the great recent instrumental
albums.
Mauro Dias - Estado de São Paulo
