“O
Condutor” is a totally different album from Celso Pixinga’s
previous CDs. It was recorded with only two musicians: Pixinga on
the electric bass of 4, 5, 6 strings and fretless, and João
Carlos Godoy on keyboards. The drumsound were programed on the “Pro
Tools” by Ricardo Marão and José Carlos Godoy.
In this work, Celso Pixinga blends the best of his technique and performance
with melody and virtuosism.
Celso Pixinga experimented in this CD to mix Brazilian, Latin and
North-American music. The Brazilian elements were added in a very
subtle way, giving it a different approach. The Jazz-Rock, Latin Jazz
and Jazz are part of the albun’s context.
“O Condutor” had special guests, such as Léa Freire
on the flute; Kadú Fernandes’groove, and the virtuosism
of Fábio Bizarria’s saxophone.
“O Condutor” can be apreciated worldwide, showing the talent,
musicianship and virtuosism of Celso Pixinga. |
